Important information
The consignment note has to be filled in and handed over to the office before delivery of goods at warehouse.
Goods should always be properly packed and clearly marked with the names and addresses af the shipper and receiver.
Damaged goods will be transported without responsibility.
Frozen goods must be frozen on handing in.
Receipt for paid freight has to be presented on collection af goods.
You are not allowed personally to remove goods from warehouse or transport vehicles. This will be considered as theft and the right for compensation of damage, loss, etc. will no longer apply.
Classified goods
On handing in of IMCO goods (dangerous goods) the shipper shall pursuant to the Danish Merchant Shipping Act, Søloven, sections 257 and 291 inform of the nature of the dangerous goods and the safety measures, which may be necessary. The goods must be marked pursuant to current IMDG rules, and the container must be approved for transport of dangerous goods.
The captain may suspend reservations for living animals, if in his opinion, the passage is not safe.
Stocking of goods
Goods, which have not been collected 3 days after arrival, at the very latest, are charged an amount of DKK 50,- per 24 hours.
If goods are to be stored for a longer period, a rent af DKK 100,- per 24 hours is to be paid (only possible in Grenaa).
Limited space for storage.
Insurance
It is recommendable that the shipper/receiver of goods of a rather high value takes out insurance of goods at his own insurance company.
Conditions of transport are advertised at the warehouse in Anholt and Grenaa.
Complaints
Complaints, if any, have to be made immediately on collection of goods from the warehouse of Grenaa-Anholt Ferry Service and are to be endorsed on the consignment note, as the liabilities for damages of Grenaa-Anholt Ferry Service will otherwise become void.
Any damage which happens/becomes visible on board is to be reported to one of the officers af the ship.
